Striped Sheer Bodysuit with Feather Cuffs and Gold Chain

This is a three-piece set rather than a single garment: one bodysuit plus two feather arm cuffs that are not stitched to it. The body is built from vertical satin stripes roughly 8 mm wide separated by fully sheer mesh, so the torso reads as a series of long lines instead of a flat panel. Eyelash lace forms the cups and edges the leg openings.

Striped Mesh Panels

The stripes are woven into the mesh, not printed or glued on top, which is why they keep their edge after washing instead of peeling. Between them the mesh is completely see-through, so coverage is partial by design. The cups are single-layer eyelash lace with a support seam underneath rather than moulded padding, giving shape without adding volume. Straps run through metal sliders and shorten by about 6 cm, enough to change how high the cups sit on the chest.

Feather Cuff Styling

Each cuff sits on the upper arm and carries a gold-tone chain that hangs along the outer arm and moves as you do. For a club night, wear the bodysuit tucked into high-waisted vinyl trousers, keep both cuffs on and skip a necklace, since the chains already occupy that visual space. For a dinner or cocktail setting, layer a cropped blazer over the body, remove the cuffs and let only the lace cups show above the neckline. A third option pairs the body with a sheer maxi skirt, cuffs on, for photo shoots and themed events where the feathers are the point. Feathers shed, so carry the cuffs in a separate pouch instead of loose in a bag.

Torso length suits wearers between 158 cm and 175 cm; above that range the straps run out of adjustment and the crotch seam pulls upward. Because the cups have no wire, anyone above a C cup will find coverage limited. This is not a shaping garment: the mesh stretches with the body and does not compress the waist.

Mesh Care Routine

The body is a polyester mesh and elastane blend, while the cups and hip trim are eyelash lace, the most fragile part of the set. Hand wash below 30 degrees with a neutral soap; if you use a machine, a mesh laundry bag and a cold delicate cycle are both required. Never wring the garment, as twisting relaxes the elastane permanently. Press it between a towel instead, then dry flat rather than on a hanger so the wet fabric does not stretch under its own weight. The feather cuffs stay out of water entirely: wipe the band with a damp cloth and let the feathers dry flat. Bleach, tumble drying and direct ironing all destroy the stripe texture. Store the cuffs uncrushed, since flattened feathers lose their direction and only partly recover over steam. Black, pink and red are produced, and the darker shades should be washed separately for the first two or three cycles.
